"Down-to-earth, expressive regional cuisine with European influences",
this is how Marcus Blonkowski, who has been awarded by the Guide Michelin since 2019, describes his philosophy. The Michelin-starred chef was born in 1986 in Großröhrsdorf, Saxony: "I wanted a creative profession so that I could hold a result in my hands at the end of the day." After his training at Hoga Schloss Albrechtsberg in Dresden, stations in Austria followed, including as sous chef with Silvio Nickol at Palais Coburg in Vienna. In 2014, he opened the Genuss-Atelier restaurant in Dresden together with his sister Nicole. Blonkowski used the pandemic period to hone his concept because, "There has to be a rethink in fine dining, toward unique selling points.
